Family Affairs Council Concludes Tala Women’s Ideathon

Implementing training workshops and sessions with the participation of 38 consultants The Family Affairs Council concludes the activities of the Women’s Tala Ideathon The Family Affairs Council, represented by the Women’s Committee, concluded yesterday the activities of the Women’s Tala Ideathon, which it organized during the period from (3-9) December this year in strategic partnership with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monshaat” and the Social Development Bank, in conjunction with the activities of Riyadh, the Arab Women’s Capital for 2020. The Women’s Committee held the Ideathon events virtually, and provided the opportunity for interested women and men from all regions and governorates of the Kingdom to participate in the tracks that included supporting the status of women after the Corona pandemic, women and family health, technology and electronic applications, culture and arts, and human rights and legal awareness. The closing ceremony included a speech by the Family Affairs Council, two speeches by the Social Development Bank and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monsha’at”, a speech of thanks to partners, advisors, trainers and the jury, in addition to a presentation of the qualified projects and the announcement of the winning projects.

The seven-day event included 20 hours of training sessions with the participation of 10 trainers, in addition to consulting sessions in which 38 consultants participated to implement 135 hours of work, in addition to the delivery of project presentations, evaluation and arbitration until the announcement of the winners at the closing ceremony. The Women’s Ideathon aimed to enhance the role of Saudi women, transform ideas into startups, and support existing projects to develop and grow by providing them with the necessary knowledge and tools through training materials and counseling sessions provided by the Ideathon’s strategic partners. The winners will receive a financing opportunity provided by the Social Development Bank, while Monsha’at will provide them with the necessary support to overcome the challenges they may face as entrepreneurs through advisory sessions, development programs and support appropriate to their project paths.
