Family Affairs Council holds its regular meeting under the chairmanship of H.E. Minister of Human Resources and Social Development

Discussed the National Family Strategy and Performance Indicators

The Family Affairs Council held its thirteenth session for the third quarter of 2021 under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Council. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, and the presence of the Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, and members of the Council.

The session began with an opening speech by the Minister in which he welcomed the members of the Council, noting the importance of concerted efforts during the next phase to enable the Council to achieve its goals and aspirations in caring for and empowering the Saudi family, then the meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda.

Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri briefed the audience on the progress of the National Family Strategy, the governance model and the plan for the National Family Strategy caravan with the relevant authorities, in addition to the work steps with Adadaa Center during the past weeks to clarify the targets in these indicators for the next five years and link them with the indicators of the second level goals and initiatives, while reviewing the alignment with the vision programs and performance indicators of the relevant authorities.

Council members reviewed a number of completed studies, most notably the digital literacy project for the elderly, in accordance with the directives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to provide tools to overcome the challenges that limit full participation in the development process.

At the conclusion of the session, the Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri thanked His Excellency the Minister and members of the Council for their interaction with all the topics raised, and their constructive suggestions and opinions, stressing the great support that the Saudi family receives from the rulers of the Kingdom, which is evident in the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, and the goals and programs that directly contribute to empowering the Saudi family and improving the quality of life.
