The Childhood Advisory Committee of the Family Affairs Council visited the Ministry of Sports in conjunction with the activities of the International Youth Day, where they were received by the Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Affairs, Mr. Fahad Ibrahim Al-Shamsan, within the framework of partnerships with the relevant sectors in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The committee’s delegation included members Hamad Al-Hamad, Hathal Al-Sulaiman, Ziad Al-Zaibiq, Al-Anoud Al-Amrou and Jumana Al-Harbi. During the visit, Mr. Al-Shamsan reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of Sports towards the youth segment, including programs and activities to meet their aspirations as the pillar of the present and future, builders of civilization and the basis of development, and then touched on the upcoming plans to promote the requirements of this group.
He spoke with members of the delegation about a number of issues related to the ministry’s youth-oriented programs. For her part, Ms. Seema Al-Khorayef, a member of the Childhood Committee of the Family Affairs Council, said: “The Council is keen to strengthen partnerships with the executive authorities to contribute to the development and stability of Saudi society in all fields, including the youth segment, whom she described as “half of the present and all of the future.” It is worth noting that the Childhood Committee is one of the committees of the Family Affairs Council and is responsible for proposing and studying laws, regulations and projects that aim to meet the requirements of the child.
