The Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, discussed with the Secretary General of the National Committee for Combating Drugs, Major General Khalifa Al-Khalifa, aspects of joint cooperation between the Family Affairs Council and the National Committee for Combating Drugs to confront the issue of drug threats to the family and society.
Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri discussed with Major General Khalifa Al-Khalifa, at the headquarters of the Committee’s secretariat, the secretariat’s efforts in addressing the scourge of drugs and protecting families from it, as well as updates on family programs, and discussing the challenges and obstacles facing the family in light of combating drugs and promoting preventive awareness among children.
The Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council emphasized the role of the Council through cooperation with partners and executive bodies from the relevant ministries and authorities to provide a decent life for the family, as a body that oversees the implementation of family-related regulations, and the creation of a database that serves Saudi family issues.
For his part, Major General Khalifa Al-Khalifa said that the Secretariat is fully prepared to support joint efforts to eradicate drugs, and to establish effective communication channels between the General Secretariat and the Family Affairs Council, in order to do everything that would advance the Saudi family in various regions of the Kingdom, and protect it from the threats to which it is exposed.
