About the CSW
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is a dedicated body focused on advancing women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s empowerment globally, and shaping global policies and standards related to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The Commission meets annually in March to assess the progress made by member states, exchange best practices and experiences within the international community, and submit recommendations and reports each year to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
