Objectives:

Providing  a report on the status of women in Islamic Countries
• OIC plan of Action for the Advancement of Women (OPAAW) and strengthening the capacities of national institutions

• Women ‘s empowerment is a prerequisite for the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and OPAAW

• Guidelines for standardising the reports to be submitted to the OIC General Secretariat on the activities of parties involved 

• Reviweing the opportunities offered by relevant OIC institutions to national institutions, and the issue of financing women’s empowerment projects. Recommendations: Submitting approval to the Ministerial Conference to adopt the OIC Plan of Action for the Advancement of Women (OPAAW), and reviewing the standarised reports with member states to be submitted for approval by the Ministerial Conference. Recommendations of the participating delegations: Conducting a study and review on the OIC OPAAW plan by the Family Affairs Council, Providing insights on the plan, standarized reports to his Excellency the Minister of Labor and Social Development in preperation for the Ministerial Conference meeting of OIC.Meeting.
