Her Excellency Dr. Magda bint Muhammad Aburas received the Arab Women’s Excellence Award for 2023 in its fourth session in the field of environmental activity, within the framework of the meeting of the Arab Women’s Committee of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level at its 43rd session, as an extension of the successes achieved by Saudi women in international and local forums.
A specialist in the environmental field, Dr. Magda is active in environmental programs, sustainable initiatives and projects, and her numerous scientific researches in the field of addressing environmental pollutants, focusing on soil and desert environment, monitoring, environmental management and public awareness.
As a nominee for the award, she presented unique and innovative new programs, initiatives, and ideas in environmental work, and demonstrated leadership skills in implementing her environmental projects and highlighting effective strategic plans to ensure their sustainability.
It is worth mentioning that Her Excellency Dr. Majida bint Mohammed Aburas is a leading specialist in environmental biotechnology and treatment of all types of desert soils contaminated with crude oil (hydrocarbons), and has presented many scientific researches, national and international projects and initiatives, and has participated in many conferences and workshops, and chaired several forums and bodies.
On this occasion, the Family Affairs Council congratulates Her Excellency Dr. Magda bint Muhammad Aburas for winning the Arab Women Excellence Award for 2023, in its fourth session, stressing its keenness and interest in supporting and empowering Saudi women, within its strategy to adopt initiatives and projects that support them, and increase their representation in international and regional forums.
