The Family Affairs Council actively participated in the 30th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family Conference, organized by the Doha International Family Institute and with the support of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The Conference took place on October 30-31, 2024.
The Kingdom’s delegation led by Dr. Maimoonah Al Khalil, Secretary-General of the Family Affais Council, aims to exchange insights and share best practices with policymakers, academics and experts on the impact of key contemporary trends on family affairs.
This year’s conference explores critical global challenges, including technological advancements, migration, urbanization, climate change, and demographic shifts, examining their impact on family cohesion and resilence. The Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council participated in panel discussions on leveraging technology to strengthen family bonds and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. She also highlights the Kingdom’s leading role in advancing family welfare and promoting stability amidst thesemodern challenges.
