The Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, in cooperation with the Family Affairs Council, organized the first Empowerment Partners Forum under the title “Family First”, which aims to hear the opinions of families and identify the challenges they face and the experiences that contribute to the empowerment of their children with disabilities in the various axes of the forum.

The forum included a speech by Her Excellency the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, during which she stressed the need for such forums for knowledge and permanent communication with the family, especially the families of persons with disabilities, as they hold a great trust and a lofty mission in empowering the son and contributing together in creating initiatives and programs that contribute to integration and active participation in society.

For his part, Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari, CEO of the Authority for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, explained that the Authority aims to enhance services and make arrangements that contribute to ensuring the integration of persons with disabilities in the labor market and society and enable them to obtain their rights to educational and health services, as the family is a key partner in empowering its children with disabilities, and appreciated the efforts of the Family Affairs Council in raising community awareness about family building and contributing to raising the level of social stability for the family.
