Riyadh, 26/10/2022 The Family Affairs Council signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with the Public Health Authority “Weqaya” today, with the aim of raising the level of joint cooperation in the field of public health, in order to achieve the objectives of the two entities and benefit all family members.
The Family Affairs Council was represented by its Secretary-General, Ms. Hila bint Mohammed Al-Mukairish, while the Public Health Authority was represented by its Executive Director General, Dr. Abdullah bin Rashood Al-Qwaizani.
The agreement comes to enhance joint cooperation between the Family Affairs Council and the Public Health Authority, exchange expertise and services in what falls within the competencies of both parties, and work to raise the level of protection and health awareness among family members and prevent and combat diseases, in fulfillment of the objectives of the National Family Strategy as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The agreement also allows the Authority to participate in providing training support and qualifying human cadres in the fields of health for children, women and the elderly, and to cooperate in the field of research, studies and national surveys to reach recommendations and initiatives that contribute to improving the levels of prevention and health for families, in addition to working on awareness campaigns consistent with the National Family Strategy.
It is worth mentioning that the cooperation agreement comes out of the keenness of both parties to enhance joint work, and as an extension of the Council’s role in strengthening community partnership, consolidating cooperation and knowledge exchange, and benefiting from experiences and expertise to serve the Saudi family and enhance its active participation in the development process.
On this occasion, the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council emphasized the Council’s integrative approach in working with all family-related entities and sectors to face challenges and coordinate efforts to reach a vibrant society, in accordance with the aspirations of the wise leadership, hoping that this agreement will push for more health and preventive awareness that preserves the safety of the family and society.
