The Council for Family Affairs and the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue signed a joint cooperation agreement between the two sides, with the Council for Family Affairs represented by its Secretary General Dr. Hala bint Mazeed Al-Tuwaijri, and the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue represented by its Secretary General Dr. Abdullah Al-Fouzan, at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh.
This agreement comes in the path of integration between various government agencies to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and aims to cooperate in launching many projects and initiatives compatible with the fields of work of both sides, in addition to holding workshops, courses, training, studies, research and statistics available for research purposes, cooperation in knowledge studies, exchange of scientific publications and research, as well as the implementation of public opinion surveys on topics of interest to both parties.
The agreement includes providing awareness campaigns that include specialized dialogue sessions, forums and seminars, holding events of common interest in Saudi family issues, dialogue, social coexistence and tolerance, and youth and volunteer programs for young groups that enhance their patriotism, with the participation of family affairs committees in the regions and branches affiliated with the center.
The two parties will cooperate in holding training programs for KAICIID’s target groups and conducting joint and specialized workshops in the fields of KAICIID and the Council.
During the signing ceremony, the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council and her accompanying delegation toured the interactive dialogue exhibition of the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue to learn about the center’s experience in employing technology to instill the values of coexistence, tolerance and national cohesion.
On this occasion, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri said that the Family Affairs Council is working to build many partnerships with all governmental, private and third sectors to enhance the status of the family, pointing out that one of the most important roles of the Council is to activate partnerships with various relevant sectors for the benefit of all family members. She stressed that the agreement with the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue comes within the Council’s efforts to harness its capabilities and capabilities in order to improve the quality of life for all members of society and seek to achieve the social goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
