Family Affairs Council signs memorandum of cooperation with the Audio Visual Media Authority

Riyadh, Ramadan 4, 1443 A.H. The Family Affairs Council signed a memorandum of cooperation with the General Authority for Audiovisual Media to enhance cooperation in common areas, serve their objectives, and deliver the required messages to various members and groups of society for the benefit of all family members, at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh, today (Tuesday).

The agreement, which was signed by the Council’s Secretary General, Dr. Hala bint Mazeed Al-Tuwaijri, and KDIPA’s CEO, Engineer Esraa bint Mansour Asiri, comes as part of the Family Affairs Council’s efforts to achieve its goals in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The agreement emphasizes the importance of harmonizing the National Family Strategy initiatives with those of the General Authority for Audiovisual Media and working to expand the scope of work through new initiatives, their design, implementation and preparation of follow-up reports to achieve the desired goals. According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate by participating in the preparation of workshops, exchanging research and studies related to family and children, and developing a media policy that is consistent with the objectives of the National Family Strategy and the plan to activate awareness campaigns.

On this occasion, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri stressed the importance of cooperation with the Audiovisual Media Authority, as the Authority has an important role to play in regulating the content provided to families, in addition to being an important step in the integration process between various government agencies, which comes within the Council’s strategies to build many partnerships with all government and private sectors to enhance the status of the family.
