Dr. Maimouna Al Khalil as Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council

Riyadh 29/1/2023 M Her Excellency Dr. Maimouna bint Khalil Al Khalil started her duties as Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council on Sunday.

This comes within the framework of the support of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Family Affairs Council, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, for the Council’s work process, and in view of Dr. Maimuna’s rich resume of achievements and experiences in the academic and administrative fields, as she obtained her PhD in applied linguistics from Georgetown University, and worked as an assistant professor at the Department of English Language and Literature at King Saud University, in addition to being an advisor to Her Excellency the President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, where she held the position of Director of the National Observatory for Women Participation in Development at the university.

On this occasion, Dr. Maimuna extended her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the Council for this confidence, stressing the importance of working according to the aspirations of our wise leadership – may Allah support them – to enhance the status of the family and enable it to play its role in society, asking Allah – the Almighty – for help and success in her tasks. She explained that this confidence is a catalyst for the continued development of the Council’s performance system through its work streams and objectives related to legislation and regulations promoting the role of the family, organizing all governmental and private efforts and initiatives related to the family and following up on their implementation, in addition to enhancing its integrated approach with all institutions to ensure the empowerment of the family and its effective participation in the process of construction and development in fulfillment of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
