The Family Affairs Council and the National Drug Prevention Project (Nibras) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as part of cooperation and integration between government agencies and institutions and coordination of national efforts to prevent drugs.
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties to disseminate awareness content related to the prevention of drugs and psychotropic substances, by working on the system of basic values, life skills, parental and youth skills related to drug prevention, and utilizing the protection factors and the danger that drugs pose to youth and future generations.
On this occasion, Her Excellency the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Maymouna bint Khalil Al Khalil, pointed out that the Council, as a governmental body concerned with enhancing the status and role of the family in society, is working to unite efforts with the concerned and relevant authorities to devise awareness-raising methods To raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and substances in society, to raise the awareness of families and youth about their dangers, to protect future generations, and to preserve the integrity of the family and strengthen its cohesion to be able to take care of its children through adherence to religious and moral values and ideals.
