The Family Affairs Council launched an awareness campaign titled “Effective Parenting” under the slogan “Sustainable Educational Impact” as part of the National Family Strategy, which aims to launch initiatives that enhance the educational impact and provide parents with constructive educational concepts through work programs and initiatives overseen by the Council’s Childhood Committee.

The campaign aims to enrich knowledge and improve educational concepts among the target groups. It also sheds light on the most important topics that touch children, enabling parents to understand the stages of their development and develop their ability to deal with their various psychological needs, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of providing social protection and positive interaction within the family environment to build cohesive and stable families.

It is worth mentioning that the scope of the campaign covers various traditional and digital media in cooperation with a number of governmental, private and non-profit organizations. The campaign includes the launch of an animated series that simplifies the concepts of active parenting, in addition to publishing an awareness movie and various educational, awareness and interactive content over a period of 5 weeks through official social media accounts.

In this regard, the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Maimuna bint Khalil Al Khalil, stated that the Active Parenting campaign is one of 9 awareness campaigns sponsored by the National Family Strategy. She added that the Council intends to launch an online platform under the name “Active Parenting” to be a permanent reference that can be relied upon and used, and the platform will allow direct communication with the public 24 hours a day, stressing that the campaign comes within the Council’s continuous efforts to empower the family and raise its awareness to enhance its role in the sustainable development process of Saudi society, which is reflected in achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
