Organized by Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in partnership with the Family Affairs Council and the Women’s Committee for Community Development at the university’s conference center.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Riyadh, on Monday evening, inaugurated the “Family and Society” forum organized by Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University in partnership with the Women’s Committee for Community Development in the Riyadh Region Council and the Family Affairs Council at the conference center of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.
In a speech during the opening ceremony of the forum, Prince Faisal bin Bandar expressed his pride in the great role played by the committees of the Emirate of Riyadh and the Regional Council in serving the community and the family, which is the basic building block of healthy societies in accordance with the wise directives of the wise leadership – may God protect them.
His Highness extended his thanks for the efforts made by the members of the committees and their prominent role, wishing them continued success and success.
For her part, Her Highness Princess Noura bint Mohammed, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee for Community Development, referred to the forum’s themes in highlighting the importance of the roles of society, with all its governmental, private and civil institutions, in supporting the family in raising and nurturing their children and improving the quality of life, which in turn reflects on the growth and prosperity of the homelands.
“We hope that the outcomes and recommendations of this forum, through its scientific sessions and workshops, will contribute to supporting the family and opening new horizons for joint work between universities and society and all its institutions,” she added.
For her part, the Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Hala bint Mazeed Al-Tuwaijri, stressed the importance of enhancing the status and role of the family in society, and preserving a strong and cohesive family that cares for its children and adheres to religious and moral values and ideals, which the Council works to achieve through multiple tracks with all relevant authorities, from the perspective of joint responsibility towards the family in order to achieve the concept of comprehensive national development planning.
HH The Amir then inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the forum with the participation of a number of governmental, private and charitable organizations.
The ceremony held on this occasion witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between PNU and the Family Affairs Committee of the Riyadh Region Council, represented by Her Excellency the President of PNU, Dr. Inas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, and the Chairman of the Family Affairs Committee, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, which aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of social responsibility.
