The Family Affairs Council held its nineteenth session today in Riyadh, under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, and in the presence of Her Excellency the Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Maymouna bint Khalil Al Khalil, and all members of the Council.
After that, the meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the progress of the National Family Strategy, the targets of women’s participation in development according to Vision 2030, in addition to reviewing a number of reports related to family-oriented initiatives and their performance indicators. The meeting began with an opening speech in which HE the Minister welcomed the members of the Council, noting the importance of integration and concerted efforts to achieve the objectives of the Council in caring for and empowering the family with all its components.
It is worth mentioning that the Family Affairs Council works to enhance the status of the family in society, monitor all challenges and issues that affect its entity, and enable family members to actively contribute to the process of construction and development in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of family life.
