His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, chaired today the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Family Affairs Council in its 20th session in Riyadh, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Maymouna bint Khalil Al Khalil, and all members of the Council.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, in addition to reviewing the progress made in the National Family Strategy, a number of reports related to family-oriented initiatives and their performance indicators, and the report of the Saudi Family Forum 2023. The meeting also reviewed the council’s project plan for 2024 and a number of related topics.
During the meeting, Al Rajhi emphasized the importance of integrating efforts between the Council, government agencies, the non-profit sector and the private sector, and stressed the importance of joining forces to prepare initiatives and projects that empower all family members. He also praised the Council’s role in monitoring the most important challenges and issues affecting the elderly, women and children, praising their essential role in contributing to the process of construction and development according to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which contributes to raising the quality of life for families and creating a vibrant society that contributes to sustainable development.
