In order to promote the culture of volunteering and social responsibility and to instill the values of cooperation and solidarity among family members, and within the initiatives of the Human Capacity Development Program, the Family Affairs Council launched the “Our Family is Help” awareness campaign in its first edition.
Through this seven-day campaign, which is witnessing wide participation from various entities and non-profit sector associations, the Council seeks to introduce the voluntary opportunities offered by the national volunteering platform, which is compatible with family members, through scientific awareness methods with multiple psychological and social dimensions.
Dr. Maimuna bint Khalil Al Khalil, Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, explained that the “Our Family is Awn” campaign comes in the context of emphasizing the Council’s role in promoting awareness of the importance of family empowerment and sustainability, and its continued effective contribution to national development, in accordance with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
She added that the campaign focuses on the deep dimensions of the concept of volunteering and simplifying it for all members of society, by spreading direct awareness messages mainly directed to family members, especially women, the elderly and children.
She explained that the campaign works to motivate families and pave the way for them to provide help and community assistance, by directing their members towards the voluntary fields available to them and suitable for their abilities and expertise.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about social issues that affect the family and society and the importance of providing help in them, strengthening the bonds between family members by increasing their participation in volunteer work, and introducing the benefits and advantages of voluntary work for family members in terms of religious, value, psychological and social aspects.
