The Family Affairs Council holds the first Family Development Associations Forum under the slogan “Integration and Empowerment” on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Riyadh, Crowne Plaza Hotel, in partnership with the Specialized Sub-Council for Family Development Associations, in the presence of leaders of family associations in the Kingdom, experts and those interested in social and family affairs, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and supporting integration between governmental and private entities to improve the quality of family life.
The Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council, Her Excellency Dr. Maymouna Khalil Al Khalil, pointed out that one of the most important roles of the Council is to coordinate between government and private entities related to the family, to carry out their roles and form a common vision for the family. Her Excellency added that the forum aims to strengthen the partnership between the Family Affairs Council and the non-profit sector, to support the possibilities of family development work in the Kingdom, and to introduce the most important programs and initiatives provided by family development associations to preserve the family entity.
She noted that the Family Affairs Council seeks to highlight the role of family development associations and the non-profit sector and their impact on improving the quality of life of families in the Kingdom. Through dialogue sessions, the forum will discuss the integration of the roles of associations in improving the quality of family life, opportunities to empower them, and their effective role in family counseling, in order to extract effective recommendations that empower and enhance the role of associations.
She stressed that the forum will enhance the importance of cooperation and support integration and joint efforts between all sectors related to the family, and achieve the Council’s vision in working to empower the family by providing services, awareness, preservation and protection through integrated national initiatives that directly contribute to achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
