The Ministry of Labor and Social Development, in collaboration with the Family Affairs Council, is preparing to host the third session of the Arab-Chinese Women\u2019s Forum at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University from December 19 to 20, 2019. Under the theme \u201cWomen and Shaping a Creative and Sustainable Future,\u201d the forum is held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Labor and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, with the participation of Her Excellency Prof. Einas bint Suleiman Al-Eisa, Rector of Princess Nourah University, and Dr. Hala bint Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, alongside a distinguished group of officials. The event will also feature contributions from the League of Arab States, the All-China Women\u2019s Federation, the Council of Arab Businesswomen, andthe Arab African Union for Businesswomen, as well as other experts and stakeholders in social development. The forum\u2019s program includes lectures, workshops, and panel discussions addressing key topics such as nonprofit sector initiatives and women\u2019s empowerment, women and investment opportunities, the role of women in Arab and Chinese cultures, capacity building for women in digital and technological fields, and prospects for partnerships between Arab and Chinese women. The event will also feature an accompanying exhibition and guided tours for the delegates within the university campus and to Al-Turaif District.

The dialogue seeks to provide a platform for interaction and the exchange of best practices, lessons learned, and expertise to enhance child protection systems in Gulf countries. It places particular emphasis on government entities and civil society organizations, aiming to implement key measures for child protection systems. The dialogue focuses on strengthening the capacity of human resources in social work across all relevant sectors, especially government agencies, to achieve more robust coordination mechanisms for child protection.

On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Maimoonah Al Khalil, stated that this dialogue comes amidst a rapidly changing world and significant global events, requiring collective efforts to protect children’s rights.She affirmed that the Kingdom has made substantial strides in protecting children\u2019s rights through the enactment of comprehensive laws and regulations aimed at protecting them from all forms of abuse, discrimination, and exploitation that infringe upon their rights. She further emphasized the Kingdom\u2019s dedication to providing the necessary resources to establish a safe and supportive environment that ensures the psychological and physical well-being of children. These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to raising responsible and empowered individuals who take pride in their nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Al-Khalil noted that the Gulf Countries\u2019 Policy Dialogue on Child Wellbeing serves as a platform to bring together officials, experts, and stakeholders to exchange experiences and knowledge on policies and practices related to children\u2019s rights. She emphasized the importance of building stronger systems for child protection through cooperation and alignment among Gulf countries, focusing on policies that prioritize the safety, development, and well-being of children across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
